Massive LEGO brick sculptures take over Zoo Atlanta

If you’re a fan of FOX’s hit “LEGO Masters,” we have good news: the third season of the series is coming soon! But if you can’t wait to see some colorful and over-the-top LEGO creations, we’ve got more good news: there’s plenty keeping the animals company right now at Zoo Atlanta!

Zoo Atlanta has just been unveiled”Nature POP by Sean Kenney!“, a stunning new exhibition (pardon the pun) that features over 40 sculptures made entirely from LEGO bricks. As the name of the exhibition suggests, the sculptures are the work of the artist based in Amsterdam Sean Kenney, who has worked with The LEGO Group as an Official Partner for over a dozen years and is renowned for his work with popular toy bricks. In the case of “Nature POP!”, nature itself -even was Kenney’s inspiration, which Zoo Atlanta employees say makes him a perfect choice for the Atlanta attraction.

The exhibit, which is to remain on display until August 8, is included in the price of admission to Zoo Atlanta. Current hours at Zoo Atlanta are 9am-5pm weekdays (last admission 3:30pm) and 9am-6pm weekends (last admission 4:30pm). For more information on admission and to purchase tickets, click here.

Of course, we’re big fans of LEGO creations here at Good Day Atlanta, and we couldn’t wait to see what artist Sean Kenney had made with over 800,000 bricks. Click on the video player in this article to watch our morning at Zoo Atlanta’s newest special attraction!
