Petoskey’s Art in the Park returns with over 100 artists this Saturday

PETOSKEY — An annual Petoskey event is set to return this Saturday, bringing more than 100 performers downtown.

Petoskey’s Art in the Park, hosted by the Petoskey Area Chamber of Commerce, is set to return from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, July 16.

“Art in the Park is a fantastic event in downtown Petoskey to showcase artists from across the country,” said Emily Stuchell, events and program coordinator for the chamber of commerce.

“This annual event has become a staple of the summer event season,” she said.

Art in the Park is ready to welcome a total of 110 artists this year, all selected by a jury. The exhibition will feature not only these more than 100 artists, but also their work, spanning all kinds of artistic mediums, including painting, pottery, jewelry, glass, photography and more.

“It’s always great to see what new work your favorite returning artists have created,” Stuchell said.

“It’s also great to see artists who are new to the show and the work they’re bringing in as well,” she said.

The art-filled event also brings something for everyone with gifts and unique pieces ranging in all sorts of sizes and price points, from small, intricate jewelry or pottery to larger paintings or even art. functional and portable.

The show is also rain or shine and will continue even in case of rain.
