A new exhibition of art by local sculptor Anton Smit was recently unveiled, in collaboration with Artyli Gallery, in Nelson Mandela Square.

Title ColossalSmit’s collection of fascinating pieces has transformed the square into an open-air gallery with over twenty sculptures, spacious to be explored and enjoyed.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is colossal youtha four meter high sculpture that embodies the spirit of contemporary Africa.

The exhibition will be visible free of charge until October 31, 2022. Art, living in the square should become a regular feature with other exhibits planned.
